Hermès, the Maison that has always conquered the European aristocracy. It was founded in Paris in 1837 by Thierry Hermès, a French citizen who created excellent quality in what he did. In 1897, Charles-Emile, his son, put on the market the Sac Haut à Courroies, a large leather bag designed to hold the saddle and bridle of horses. Soon, however, the bag became an object of desire for many people. Since then, the Maison has never ceased to produce objects of art and craftsmanship that, on every occasion and in every corner of the world, have certainly made many people envious.

In 1951, the first perfume was born that would bear the name Eau D’Hermes, a sensory extension that is added to fashion, a perfect union that today is increasingly strong in women’s outfits. In short, a Maison that moves in the sign of excellence and always aims for the best, even with the new opening in Osaka. This important port city brings with it centuries of history and traditions that have helped to refine Western Japanese fashion in recent years. On its imposing bridges, and the reflections of the Yodo river stand out more and more particular but at the same time full of charm reminiscent of the world of the East. Thanks to its history and markets (comparable to those of Venice and Milan), Osaka presents itself as the main source of trade and market for the whole of Japan, surpassing even Tokyo and Kyoto in earnings, with a strict tourist market. Perhaps it was precisely its characteristics that attracted the opening of the Boutique located in Kita Ward, Umeda, 1 Chome-8-16.

Opened on 19th September 2020, located in the Daimura Mall, the boutique covers an area of 515sqm, distributed on two levels and illuminated by natural light thanks to the large corrugated glass façade. Behind the glass panels, elegantly descend ropes that symbolise and strengthen the Japanese culture that sees in them a link between the present and future generations. The collections inside are dedicated to men and women, household items, footwear, jewellery and watches seem almost a style within fashion but outside of fashion, in their sobriety, with the marvellous squeezed waist belts combined with gloves and pure silk scarves that give an unmistakable certainty for women looking for trend and class. The marvellous orange boxes used by the Maison are an outline recognition, so to speak, almost objects that cannot be renounced because they have always represented the image of this fashion house. The wonderful cocoa brown fabric ribbon that wraps the boxes creates a sense of elegance.

The wonderful logo, born in 1945: Le Duc Attelé, the logo of the Maison, i.e. an uncovered chariot pulled by a horse, observed by a man dressed as a jockey. The strong roots of the Maison can be read in this. Certainly, this logo has the merit of simplicity in telling its story, the story of a brand, its tradition, its strength.

The most famous of the Maison is undoubtedly Birkin, which bears the name of Jane Birkin, actress and singer of the 60s. She will say on a trip, “Nobody managed to create a weekend bag”, she meant elegant, light, capacious, enough to contain all the needs that a woman brings with her. Thus was born the prototype of the bag destined to enter the myth, since then every woman “will always love Hermes bags”, the most desired by the devotees of the Maison. The demand is always very high, even though the price is between 5000 and 50000 dollars. The most expensive are those in Australian crocodile leather; 3000 pieces are made each year.

Surely also this new opening will also be the future of the turnover and balance sheets of the Maison. My wish is that the love for this brand that has made all women fall in love with it outside the choir represented by infinite elegance, refinement and charm will continue for future generations.
Enjoy even more @ Hermès
