The Global Mentalist: How Tom Pesce Elevates Events for the World’s Top Brands

With a career that spans high-profile corporate stages, luxury events, and international performances, Tom Pesce has earned his reputation as one of today’s most captivating entertainers. Based in Connecticut, USA, Tom is not only an accomplished MC and keynote speaker but also a world-class mentalist and illusionist whose shows blend sophistication, warmth, and impossibility. Fresh off his participation in the fourth edition of the Puglia in Wedding Tourism Fam Trip, Tom brings new global perspectives to his creative work. We sat down with him to explore his artistic journey, the challenges of performing for international audiences, and the magic behind crafting experiences that resonate across cultures.

Tom, you work with high-end brands and luxury clients around the world. How would you describe your artistic identity to someone discovering your work for the first time?

At the heart of what I do is connection. I create high-touch experiences built around connection, presence, and elevated entertainment. My goal is always the same. I want guests to feel like they are part of something rare and personal. Whether I’m on stage as a mentalist, illusionist, MC, or keynote speaker, I strive to create experiences that are both impossible and deeply personal. My shows are about surprise, but also about making people feel seen and involved.

Your performances are described as immersive and emotionally engaging. What do you believe is essential to creating a show people will never forget?

The essential elements for me are authenticity, strong storytelling, and audience participation. Magic is the vehicle, but the real goal is to create emotional moments people remember. An unforgettable show begins with intention. I design every moment with the audience in mind so the experience feels natural, smooth, and meaningful. I use surprise to open people up and connection to draw them in. Discerning audiences have seen everything, so the real impact comes from how the moment makes them feel rather than how complicated the illusion is.

You are based in Connecticut, yet your work takes you to international destinations and five-star venues. How does your home base influence your creative process?

Connecticut gives me the balance I need to create from a grounded place. I travel constantly to perform for high-end clients across the world, but I always return to family and community. I am only an hour away from New York City, one of the most diverse places on the planet, where I often work. The variety of audiences that exist in NYC and around the US has pushed me to constantly adapt and refine my material so it resonates with different groups.

You recently appeared as a featured guest at the Puglia in Wedding Tourism Fam Trip. What were your first impressions of the event and the region?

Puglia felt like stepping into a world built on hospitality, beauty, and craftsmanship. Every detail of the event was curated with care. The region itself feels like a natural stage. The light, the architecture, the people, everything carries a sense of artistry. It immediately inspired me, and I now realise why it’s one of the top wedding and event destinations in the world. I didn’t want to leave.

What inspired you most during your time in Puglia as a performer and as a professional in the luxury events industry?

The commitment to excellence stood out the most. Every vendor, planner, and creative professional took so much pride in their work. As a performer, that level of passion pushes you to elevate your own craft. As someone in the luxury events space, it reminded me how powerful it is when every detail works together to create one seamless experience.

Adapting a show for an Italian audience created new creative opportunities. What stood out most about performing in a different cultural context?

Italian audiences bring emotion, presence, and energy into the room. They enjoy the moment and allow the experience to unfold at its own pace. I found that slowing down and giving space for the emotion to rise created even stronger reactions. It reminded me that magic is universal, but the rhythm of connection changes from culture to culture.

How do you balance staying true to your signature style while being culturally adaptable when performing internationally?

My signature style is built on intention, surprise, and connection. Those elements never change. The delivery adjusts based on the culture, language, and energy of the audience. I believe the highest level of entertainment should feel personalised, so I always adapt the tone while keeping the heart of the show intact.

The luxury event world is evolving. What trends do you see shaping the future of international live performances?

Luxury clients are requesting experiences that feel more intimate, elevated, and highly personalised. They want entertainment that blends seamlessly with the event rather than something that feels bolted on. I also see a shift toward immersive storytelling where the experience moves beyond a stage and becomes part of the environment. Above all, the desire for authenticity is stronger than ever.

You perform for both elite corporate audiences and high-profile public events. How do you customise each show so it feels personal and unforgettable?

I always begin by learning the intention of the event and the people who are represented there. I want to understand the tone and the emotional outcome the client wants for their guests. From there, I build a performance that feels like it belongs specifically to that moment. Elite audiences appreciate subtlety, so I add personalised touches, custom illusions, and in-the-moment interactions that cannot be repeated anywhere else.

Magic and mentalism rely on trust and connection. How do you build rapport with audiences who may not share your language or cultural background?

Presence builds trust. When guests feel that I am genuinely with them, they connect immediately, even without a shared language. I use visuals, emotion, and storytelling to bridge any cultural gaps. I always approach audiences with respect for the environment they are in and appreciation for the experience they expect. Trust grows naturally from there.

After your recent experiences in Italy, do you see more international collaborations in your future?

Yes. I left Italy feeling creatively energised. The culture, the hospitality, and the artistic spirit of the region align perfectly with my style of performance. I am already exploring opportunities to return for events, collaborations, and custom entertainment experiences for international clients.

What feeling do you hope audiences take away from a Tom Pesce performance, no matter where they are from?

I hope they leave feeling that they were part of something rare, warm, and meaningful. I want them to walk away remembering a moment that felt personal and full of possibility. If I can create an experience that stays with them long after the event ends, then that is real magic.

Tom Pesce’s unique ability to connect with audiences, whether in the United States, Italy, or anywhere in the world, comes from a blend of professionalism, authenticity, and creative daring. As he continues to expand his international footprint, his work stands as a reminder that live performance is a universal language, capable of bridging cultures and inspiring wonder. With upcoming projects on the horizon, Tom remains committed to elevating the art of illusion and storytelling, one unforgettable moment at a time.
