“See it, Drive it, Buy it!” — with this slogan the founder of Top Marques Monaco inaugurated one of the most important lavish fairs in the world back in 2004. Since then, more than a hundred models have made their European debut at Top Marques, including this year’s Deus Vayanne, an electric monster of over two thousand horses, unveiled by Prince Albert II at the opening.
Showcasing the world’s most luxury supercars and hypercars, as well as yachts, aircrafts, and jewellery, Top Marques has proven itself to be the most exclusive car show of the planet. Held annually in the glamorous Grimaldi Forum at the heart of the Principality, Top Marques is under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco.
For the first time in its seventeen-year history, Top Marques have exhibited classic cars, for the lovers of iconic and timeless models mainly from 1950s to 1970s. Amongst them are the two legends, an Aston Martin DB5 and a Ferrari F355 GTS famous for their appearances in the James Bond movie series. The largest area in the section is occupied by the Boutsen Classic Cars, presenting such supreme models as a Maserati 3500 GT Superleggera from 1960 and a Ferrari 512TR from 1992.
A collection of American Classics is displayed by the recently founded by a famous architect and designer Mr. Marieux Van den Broek Classics 4 You, including a graceful Tiffany-coloured 1955 Ford Thunderbird and a sky-blue 1965 Chevrolet Corvette C2. Among the beauties presented by British & Sportscars is an exclusive left-hand-drive Aston Martin DB4 GT. With only seven models ever produced, it is one of the most valuable and collectable cars in the world.
One of the most spectacular presentations has certainly been made by Bugatti. As the visitors approach the Grimaldi Forum, they are struck by a pair of Bugatti Chiron, the most powerful and exclusive production super sports car in the brand’s history. The elegant black model is the limited edition of the Chiron Sport “110 ANS BUGATTI”. Homage to the brand’s Molsheim origin, the model is adorned with French tricolour elements, while its interior is decorated with soft leather in a deep blue shade.
Inside the Forum, displayed in public for the first time, is the glorious Chiron Pur Sport Grand Prix. The car features hand-painted details, such as the number 32, which was also present on Louis Chiron’s Bugatti Type 51 which he took to victory at Grand Prix in 1931, becoming the only Monegasque driver to ever win the fabled race. As part of the Bugatti Sur Mesure customisation programme, designed for those who wish to tell a unique story with their vehicle and individualise any element in the exterior and interior design, Chiron Pur Sport Grand Prix is complimented by a new fading “EB” pattern in reference to the brand’s founder Ettore Bugatti.
Among other supercars exhibited is an exotic carbon-look deep blue Aspark Owl. Built in Japan and distributed in Europe by the hypercar specialists Absolut Cars Consulting, this all-electric model under 1 meter in height possesses phenomenal speed with 0 to 60 mph achieved in a remarkable 1.96 seconds.
Not far from it, stands a dazzling bright-green Pambuffetti PJ-01, a handcrafted hypercar whose design is inspired by Formula 1, the driver’s seat in particular, to provide its owners with an experience heretofore reserved only for the champions.
On the neighbouring stand, Brabus impresses the audience with a white stylish cabriolet Brabus 820 based on the Porsche 911 Turbo S. With a bespoke fully handcrafted black leather interior, Brabus 820 is designed for true high-speed enthusiasts.
The other luxury car brands having showcased their exclusive models include McLaren, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Maserati, Pininfarina, and others. Apart from hypercars, the visitors have seen an impressive collection of motorbikes, including an Xturismo Limited Edition flying motorcycle consisting of a combustion engine and four electric motors and able to fly for 40 minutes, reaching a maximum speed of 100 km/h. In addition, the audience were presented with a variety of wonderful watches and jewellery.
Wil Le Cher stood out with their butterfly ring whose wings sway with a hand movement. Indeed, it can be claimed without a doubt, this year, Top Marques has once again reinforced its status as one of the most exclusive events of the Principality and the most renowned car exhibition in the world that skilfully blends luxury and elegance with technology and innovation.
