Dragana Mirčetič Arte & Bellezza Brand

I got to know Dragana Mirčetič and her work during a prestigious exhibition in Rome held in the Incique Open Art Monti Gallery, owned by architect Monica Cecchini, as part of the opening of Rome Jewelry Week on the 11th October 2021 (Rinascimento Magazine: Il Vernissage della Roma Jewelry Week).

The first thing that struck me was the wonderful combination of the art of jewelry and the mastery of using leather in her creations. The style of this brand is very particular; it combines the two great passions of the artist: semi-precious stones and leather of different colors and textures. Dragana is an artist-designer from Belgrade who wishes to showcase her love for pure beauty by transposing it into unique, simple, and suitable works for all seasons. Her very colorful jewels express the joie de vivre, the love for her native Serbia, and her passion for Italy, her adopted country.

Not surprisingly, her Arte & Bellezza exhibition in Rome received the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, which also supports the artist. She is a true spokesperson for the art of her country which is represented in the colors and which provides inspiration for many of her creations.

Entering the world of Dragana means getting lost in a universe made of precious stones, one which showcases the refined workmanship of Florentine leather, and an abundance of originality.

I greatly enjoyed the modernity and the, at times, minimalistic design of her jewels but, especially the technicality and meticulousness of her creations. Some of the collections bear the names of colors which are close to her heart:

Yellow – MiaM – represents the sun and the warmth of the “Bel Paese”, her beloved Italy.

Red – Red Passion – symbolizes love, the passion that overwhelms us and pushes us to live life to its fullest.

Black- Black Mystic, a sensual and mysterious line suitable for strong and self-confident women.

Gold – Gold time, the triumph of solar energy on the skin and hematite, a well-known semi-precious stone.

Plato affirmed that: “Beauty is the splendor of Truth“. Indeed, we can find this theme in Dragana’s poetics: authenticity, the engaging force of her works, jewelry creations carefully handmade with love and dedication.

The semi-precious stones used in Arte & Bellezza are not only aesthetically pleasing and wearable, but very often they also have healing properties that awaken life’s energy in the wearer. Dragana works with amethysts, lapis lazuli, onyx, quartz, agate, aquamarine, labradorite, all of which are precious gems that absorb negative energies, giving psychophysical balance and joy to the wearer.

Dragana Mirčetič currently divides her time between Belgrade and Rome.

I asked Dragana what her plans for the future are: “I would like to live more in Italy. I see my future there. I would like to open a gallery in Rome. It will be a surprise!“. I am sure that the Italian public will welcome her with warmth and affection, repaying her with the same love that this artist brings to Italy. Her unique style, sometimes a bit rebellious, but strong, full of authenticity and easy to wear is certainly a great start to what will be an enormous success.
