At the Gala Dinner hosted at the Oscar Niemeyer Auditorium along the beautiful Amalfi Coast, The House of Gucci presented the new Labirinti High Jewellery Collection. Finely crafted and adorned with exceptional coloured gemstones, the collection consists of 140 one-of-a-kind pieces and revolves around three themes: ordered beauty, geometric splendour, and blooming nature.
The Labirinti Jewellery Collection draws inspiration from Italian Gardens, renowned for their refined elegance and blending of nature and human ingenuity. One of the most prominent features of Renaissance Italian Gardens is an adherence to strict geometric principles, a search for the polarity of elements, and the interplay of various geometric forms. Gucci Labirinti’s masterpieces are rooted in geometry elevated to a level of magnificence. The labyrinthian framework surrounding gemstones is intricate and mesmerising.
Especially astonishing is the use of the Maison’s signature “G” motif, subtly woven into the linear chains of necklaces and the bands of rings and bracelets. In some pieces, diamond-encrusted “G” maze-like patterns take centre stage, while in others, they serve to enhance the beauty of colourful gemstones without overpowering them.
The theme of blooming nature is expressed through a variety of floral motifs, and the newly introduced Gucci designs dragonfly that symbolises epiphany and renaissance. The dragonfly features in the form of brooches and mismatched earrings adorned with radiant rubellites, deep blue tanzanites, and white diamonds.
The flowers are brought to life through the intensity of colour: the extremely rare Paraiba tourmalines, Ethiopian opals, mandarin garnets, yellow sapphires, tsavorites, and Colombian emeralds. It is easy to get lost in the labyrinths of precious, dizzying jewels that reflect nature’s richness and beauty.
