Bvlgari presents a new Octo Finissimo at Dubai Watch Week 2025

Bvlgari returned to Dubai Watch Week with a powerful statement of cross-cultural creativity. For the 2025 edition, the brand unveiled an exclusive limited-edition timepiece that unites Italian design with Emirati artistic heritage: Mattar Bin Lahej x Octo Finissimo.

Held under the patronage of Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, the seventh edition of Dubai Watch Week took place from 19 to 23 November 2025 at Dubai Mall, Burj Park. Since its debut, the Octo Finissimo has embodied radical elegance and the pursuit of absolute thinness, seamlessly blending Roman architectural inspiration with Swiss watchmaking mastery. Beyond its technical brilliance, the Octo Finissimo has evolved into a true creative canvas: a platform where contemporary artists reinterpret its pure, architectural lines.

For Dubai Watch Week 2025, Bvlgari opened a new chapter in this creative dialogue through a collaboration with renowned Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej. Known for his modern approach to Arabic calligraphy, Bin Lahej has transformed the Octo Finissimo into a sculptural object where time, language, and identity converge. The creative exchange between Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, Bvlgari’s Watch Design Director, and Mattar Bin Lahej reflects the Maison’s ongoing commitment to connecting art, heritage, and innovation through diverse cultural narratives. The collaboration fuses the precision and rigour of Italian design with the fluid rhythm of Arabic calligraphy, resulting in a timepiece that expresses both Swiss mechanical discipline and the emotional depth of Emirati art.

Limited to 70 pieces, the Mattar Bin Lahej x Octo Finissimo features Arabic calligraphy laser-engraved across the titanium case, bracelet, and dial. The inscription is inspired by a reflection from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai:

“The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it, and execute it. The future does not wait: it can be designed and built today.”

Through these words, the iconic ultra-thin case becomes a work of art that unites cultural resonance with technical precision.
