The festivities began at the magnificent Cugó Gran Macina, overlooking the historic Grand Harbour. Against one of Malta’s most breathtaking backdrops, guests gathered to celebrate the remarkable achievement of a company that, for twenty-five years, has become synonymous with creativity, flawless execution, and heartfelt hospitality. The venue, paired with impeccable catering by Xara Catering, provided the perfect setting for an evening where every detail reflected Sarah’s signature style. The following evening, the celebrations continued in equally spectacular fashion at the iconic Palazzo Parisio, where Sarah celebrated her milestone 50th birthday with a sophisticated black-tie affair. Often described as one of Malta’s most beautiful palaces, Palazzo Parisio offered an enchanting backdrop for an evening filled with emotion, laughter, music, and impeccable hospitality.
The evening was made even more exceptional thanks to the generous hospitality of Baroness Justine Pergola, whose magnificent home provided the perfect setting for such a meaningful celebration. Sarah also wished to express her deepest gratitude to Kristina Agius, Director of Sales at Palazzo Parisio, whose professionalism, dedication and tireless support were instrumental throughout the planning process. Her commitment, meticulous attention to detail and unwavering guidance made the celebration possible, and Sarah warmly acknowledges that without Kristina’s invaluable contribution, the evening simply would not have been the extraordinary success that it became.
Every corner reflected refined craftsmanship. Floral installations by Floreal Malta, elegant styling by Casapinta Design Group, playful balloon creations by Party Goods Malta, and exceptional culinary experiences curated by Palazzo Parisio, Zest, and Ruby Rays delighted guests throughout the evening. The spectacular birthday cake, designed by Alfred’s Sugar Creations, became one of the evening’s highlights, while signature cocktails by Kuch Kuch Mala, premium beverages from Alfsons Malta, and prestigious Veuve Clicquot champagne, supplied by M. Demajo Wines & Spirits, elevated the celebration with style and sophistication.
But beyond the impeccable production, the evening was filled with unforgettable surprises. One of the most emotional and entertaining moments arrived when the music suddenly changed and guests were treated to an unexpected flash mob inspired by the iconic film Dirty Dancing. The spectacular choreography was created by Justin Barker, whose creativity and passion brought the performance brilliantly to life. At the centre of the choreography was Sarah herself, who embraced the performance with infectious enthusiasm and elegance. Surrounded by dancers and the cheers of her guests, she became the star of a joyful performance that perfectly reflected her vibrant personality and left everyone smiling. It was one of those rare moments that no one present will ever forget. The entertainment continued with the spectacular performance of the Aston Band, who travelled especially from London to perform for Sarah’s celebration. Their outstanding live performance transformed the elegant palace into a vibrant dance floor, creating an electric atmosphere that kept guests dancing late into the night. Together with the captivating performance by Aba Chiara, the music of DJ Tony Tony Malta, and flawless technical production by BESTeam Audio, the evening became a seamless blend of elegance, emotion, and celebration.

Featuring an oversized sculptural bow that served as an elegant photographic frame, it quickly became one of the evening’s favourite attractions. Guests eagerly queued to capture portraits with friends before leaving heartfelt handwritten messages and birthday wishes for Sarah in a commemorative guest book, creating a keepsake filled with love, laughter and memories that she will treasure forever. Sarah herself looked radiant in a bespoke gown by Charles & Ron, among Malta’s most celebrated fashion designers. The elegant creation perfectly reflected her timeless style while adding yet another touch of glamour to an already unforgettable evening. Both evenings were beautifully documented by photographer Frank Farrugia, whose elegant imagery captured every heartfelt embrace, every joyful smile, and every unforgettable detail. The second evening was further immortalized through cinematic storytelling by videographers Malcolm Debono of Malta Wedding Films and Ernest Vella, ensuring that every magical moment will continue to inspire long after the celebrations ended.
Yet perhaps the most inspiring element of the weekend was not the extraordinary décor, the world-class entertainment, or the exceptional hospitality, it was Sarah’s generosity. Rather than asking for birthday presents, she invited her guests to support a cause that has become deeply personal to her: the Maasai Early Years School Project in Tanzania, an initiative originally founded by Hella Huizinga, which Sarah has proudly embraced and passionately supported over the years. In a heartfelt message shared after the celebrations, Sarah expressed her gratitude: “Having loved ones travel from around the world to celebrate with me was already incredibly special, and your support for a cause so close to my heart made it even more meaningful. Education truly changes lives, and together we’re helping give young children access to learning in their own village during those crucial early years.”
The initiative supports early childhood education within Maasai communities, helping provide young children with access to quality learning in their own village and investing in brighter futures through education.
