The fourth edition of a Concorso that invented the “boutique” formula took place, confirming the anticipated success: a limited number of carefully selected cars, a unique venue, the unrivalled cuisine of Massimo Bottura, an exclusive setting with access by invitation only, and some moments open to the wider public of enthusiasts.

Over three days, the 30 cars present graced the historic park of Casa Maria Luigia, where participants experienced the extraordinary hospitality of Massimo and Lara Bottura while Cavallino judges, many of whom came from the United States, scrutinized the vehicles to determine the winners.

Ing. Piero Ferrari, son of the founder, attended with his daughter Antonella and grandchildren Enzo and Piero, adding a special value to the event, greatly appreciated by the collectors and organizers, who were deeply honoured by his presence. Notable guests included Sebastian Vettel, Jean Arnault and Zita D’Hauteville, Kristian and Carolyn Teär, Alessandro and Karina Valenti, Augustin Sabatié-Garat, Duccio Lopresto, Alberto Galassi, Filippo Magnini and Giorgia Palmas, Giovanni Tronchetti Provera, as well as the head of Ferrari Classiche Andrea Modena.

Luigi Orlandini, Chairman and CEO of Cavallino, an American company acquired in 2020 by the Canossa Group, addressed the contestants and guests, emphasizing that Cavallino, since its inception in 1978, has always had and still has the important responsibility of preserving and promoting the culture, knowledge, and passion surrounding the history of Enzo Ferrari and the true masterpieces constructed in Maranello over the past 76 years.

“Ours is a great responsibility,” Orlandini emphasized, “which we uphold through our magazine and our Concorso di Eleganza, originating in Palm Beach and now held across three continents. While our judges maintain the same stringent and objective standards in car evaluation, our team is making great efforts to make the event increasingly unique, enjoyable, international, and open to all generations.”

Orlandini also underlined the importance of bringing together remarkable excellence at this event: Ferrari cars, the hospitality of Massimo and Lara Bottura, the iconic dishes of Osteria Francescana, and the excellence of the event partners, from the timeless elegance of the boats of Riva, which brought its new “El-Iseo” to the lake at Casa Maria Luigia, to the absolute purity of the sound of Bang & Olufsen that entertained guests throughout the weekend, and the wine from Ferrari Trento, globally recognized as the official toast of Formula 1®, not to mention the wealth of knowledge of RM Sotheby’s, Cavallino’s global partner. Massimo Bottura joined Orlandini and shared how it was a dream for him to host these beautiful cars and share the art of cooking and hospitality with the guests.

For the 2024 edition, the 1971 365 GTB4 with chassis #14405 was awarded the Best of Show Gran Turismo; the 1954 Ferrari 250 Monza with chassis #0466 won the Best of Show Competizione; and the 1997 Ferrari F50 with chassis #107125 won the Best of Show Ferrari Classiche Certified.

During the event, there was no shortage of road experiences: on Saturday, May 18, the parade in Modena made a stop at the birthplace of Enzo Ferrari, now part of the large MEF Museum. On Sunday, May 19, the Ferraris followed the test drivers’ routes to Maranello, then continued to Casa Canossa, where Cavallino Modena 2024 concluded with a “starred” lunch by the pool.
