Driving change at Venice Film Festival: the Better World Fund event

In the enchanting backdrop of Venice, where art and culture intertwine with history, an extraordinary event is set to unfold on 5th September, during the 81st Venice International Film Festival.

The Better World Fund will host an unforgettable evening at the iconic luxury Belmond Cipriani Hotel, celebrating the profound impact of art as a catalyst for social change, with a special emphasis on women’s empowerment. This event is a convergence of minds and hearts dedicated to creating a better future through the power of creativity and philanthropy.

Founded in 2016 by Manuel Collas de La Roche, the Better World Fund is dedicated to raising awareness and providing tangible support for initiatives addressing climate change, social inequalities, culture, and education. The Venice event is a cornerstone of the Fund’s mission to leverage the power of film and art to inspire global citizens to act for a better world.

As the sun sets over the Venetian lagoon, the day will begin with an enlightening Masterclass from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Influential leaders from various fields will engage in a compelling discussion on the intersection of women’s empowerment and sustainable development. The Masterclass will set the tone for a day filled with inspiration, innovation, and a shared commitment to driving positive change.

The evening will continue with a Gala Dinner from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM, an event that promises to be as glamorous as it is meaningful. Guests will be welcomed with a Red Carpet Cocktail, followed by an Auction, private concerts, and an Award Ceremony to celebrate artistic achievements and philanthropic endeavours. But what truly elevates this night is the presence of two of Hollywood’s most revered icons, Kevin Costner and Susan Sarandon, who will grace the event as Guests of Honor.

Kevin Costner, an Oscar-winning actor known for his timeless performances and passion for storytelling, will bring his unique voice to this celebration of art and social impact. His presence underscores the event’s theme of using cinema as a powerful tool to inspire change.
