Three days of Tour for the first “Prima Targa Santo Stefano” in which the positive energies of the Relais Santo Stefano di Sandigliano, together with the Official Ferrari Dealer Rossocorsa, with the organisation of Erik and Raffaella Comas, have created perfect synergies for a successful tourist rally, able to promote the Biella area and its excellences.

The idea, born in July by Ugo Pellegrino, partner of Relais Santo Stefano and immediately welcomed by the most important Ferrari dealer in Northern Italy, Rossocorsa, in less than a month, has gathered the adhesions of a limited to 40 crews for the respect of the social distance imposed by the COVID laws.

The meeting of the Prancing Horse cars took place at the Fort of Bard in Val d’Aosta. The fortress, known for exhibitions and cultural events of a high cultural profile, granted the organisers the imposing Piazza d’Armi for the technical scrutineering of the cars. After lunch, a spectacular passage to Col de Joux took the cars to Santo Stefano SPA Relais, where the crews were welcomed by Claudio Corradino (Mayor of Biella) Paolo Zegna (CEO of the Zegna Group) and the artist Daniele Basso.

The welcome speeches, with the organisers, expressed with strength, enthusiasm and spontaneity their passion for the Biella area. Ugo Pellegrino spoke about how, with concreteness and determination, together with his partners, they have brought Relais Santo Stefano and Cascina Era E’, today the best structures to stay and live in the territory. Paolo Zegna testified to the personal and family commitment to the rebirth of the Oasi Zegna and its promotion in the world of Biella.

Daniele Basso, an internationally renowned artist, told how he brings beauty around the world through his sparkling works, which emanate light and power. His presence, after the magnificent collaboration with Andrea Bocelli and the creation of the 14-metre angel Gabriel at the Teatro del Silenzio, is pure pride for us, fellow citizens.

Erik Comas, who came to Biella for matters connected with the Lancia Stratos, told how much he fell in love with the people of Biella and organised events like this with his Swiss company. Rossocorsa, at the end of the interventions, offered the Relais a new bonnet of a Ferrari 458 Challenge racing car, which everyone present signed, and which will remain on display in the hall of the structure.

The hall for the occasion hosted the opera “Les Plis De La Vie”, to celebrate change as the only constant in life. Daniele Basso has exposed the artworks for the two evenings, including “Lion King as a wish to live with dignity, beyond pride, an existence full of satisfaction. “Il Cavallino” is dedicated to the 70 years of Ferrari. “Coke It’s Me” was created for the Centenary of the Contour bottle of Coca-Cola, and “Aureo Jr” was produced for the 100th anniversary of Aurora Penne as the symbol of Aurea Signa, the Museum of Sign and Writing in Turin.

Saturday morning saw the roaring access of the 40 Ferraris to the FCA Balocco track. The most famous proving ground in Italy was a moment of real sport and performance in which Erik Comas, a former Formula 1, GT and rally driver, managed the entrances to the Alfa circuit. In the afternoon, sport gave way to culture with a visit to the Zegna Foundation in Trivero. Through the panoramic view, the tourist rally continued to Biella Piazza and reached the renewed Era È to enjoy another dinner with local flavours. On Sunday, the 27th, the Ferrari Owners, on an alternating route of scenic and technical roads used in the rallies, arrived at the Hotel San Rocco on Lake Orta.

Andrea Giacomini welcomed the crews and provided an electric Repower boat that transported the group to the island of San Giulio in total silence and with zero emissions. Among green reflections and unquenchable “red passion” the final lunch at the restaurant of the hotel “pieds dans l’eau” dismissed the 80 Ferraristi and their extraordinary cars, including the F8 Tributo, the last 8-Cylinder Sports Car, a work of art that caught everyone’s eye as it passed by.

Raffaella and Erik Comas, together with Lorenzo Carraro and Elvin Toselli from Rossocorsa, were very satisfied with the success of an event that was the result of the perfect synergy of competence, passion and commitment.
