There are moments when passion takes the wheel and elegance becomes the compass. This is precisely the spirit that animated Fvriosa. This extraordinary event brought together the thrill of motors, the charm of landscapes, and the quiet grandeur of Italy’s most evocative treasures. Set in the heart of Franciacorta, the event was a moving celebration of excellence, a curated experience where every stop was an ode to beauty, precision, and the Italian art of living.
The journey commenced in the storied “Piazza Cavour”, the very soul of Rovato. With its stately porticoes and centuries-old architecture, this square is the heart of the town’s vibrant mercantile history and its enduring place as Franciacorta’s civic and cultural fulcrum. From this historic piazza, a convoy of automotive marvels embarked on a refined pilgrimage through the region’s most enchanting locales, Cazzago San Martino, Calino, Borgonato, and Corte Franca, each a vignette of Italy’s unspoilt charm.
But it was in Clusane, at the legendary Bellini Nautica, that the event reached one of its most sublime heights. This was a foray into a sanctum of nautical artistry. Since its founding in the 1960s, Bellini Nautica has established itself as a guardian of the Riva legacy, restoring these mahogany masterpieces with such reverence and finesse that each vessel seems to sail out of a dream. Observing the artisans at work, one could almost hear the whisper of waves against the hulls, as if the boats themselves remembered their glorious pasts.
Adjacent to the workshop lies the Bellini Museum, home to the world’s most complete and prestigious collection of Riva boats. More than a museum, it is a gallery of nautical heritage, where each model tells a tale of glamour, innovation, and Mediterranean allure. For those fortunate enough to enter, it was a rare privilege, an immersion in the sacred halls of maritime elegance.
The road then meandered towards an enclave of peace and refinement: the Franciacorta Golf Club. Nestled amidst undulating vineyards and lush countryside, the course paused in serenity, its greens rolling like a soft echo of the surrounding landscape. Within this verdant retreat, La Cantina del Golf opened its arms with hospitality that can only be described as sublime. Here, guests savoured Contadi Castaldi, an exquisite sparkling wine paired with artisanal cheeses and cured meats that reflected the region’s rich gastronomic tradition.
The true jewel, however, was unveiling a private wine collection, safeguarded behind vault doors usually closed to the public. In an exclusive gesture reserved for the Fvriosa gathering, this treasure trove of enological excellence offered a glimpse into one of the world’s most refined and expansive wine selections. It was a rarefied moment, where connoisseurship and conviviality danced in perfect harmony.
Reinvigorated, the cavalcade turned towards the lake, winding gracefully through Bornato, Provaglio d’Iseo and Iseo itself, until reaching the dramatic, almost theatrical setting of Piazza 28 Maggio in Sulzano. A new delight awaited there, courtesy of Andrea Costa and the distinguished winery Barboglio de Gaioncelli. A beacon of viticultural passion, this estate captures the soul of Franciacorta in every bottle, its wines telling stories of terroir, tradition, and tender craftsmanship.
The day concluded with an unforgettable lunch beside the tranquil waters of Lake Iseo. After securing the cherished motor companions, participants strolled along the lakeside promenade, glasses of Barboglio de Gaioncelli in hand. With Monte Isola, the largest lake island in Europe, rising in quiet majesty before them, the moment crystallised into a scene of pure magic.
Fvriosa was an encounter with the essence of Italian elegance, an ode to movement, mastery, and the timeless pursuit of beauty. For all who partook, it left not only memories but a lingering sense of grace.
