Italy, the land of romance, elegance, and timeless beauty, never ceases to enchant. Among its countless treasures, the islands of Ischia and Capri stand out as particularly magical wedding destinations. Recently, we had the joy of planning two spectacular celebrations on these islands, and we are excited to share the charm, history, and glamour that make Ischia and Capri the perfect places for tying the knot. These lush, picturesque islands were and still are a beloved retreat for royal families, Hollywood stars, artists, intellectuals, and millionaires seeking both peace and worldly pleasures. And now, it’s your turn to discover these places’ infinite charm and fantastic treasures. Our team of wedding planners, Luba Gankin, Diana Da Ros, and Ischia native Stefania Silvestro, have been orchestrating unforgettable weddings on these islands for years. Let’s join forces and explore together!

Ischia: A Gem to Discover
Ischia, known as the “Green Island” for its verdant landscapes, is a paradise of natural beauty, hot springs, and understated luxury. Picture a sunset ceremony on a cliffside, with the sea breeze gently rustling the leaves and the scent of blooming flowers in the air—pure bliss! History lovers will be enchanted by Ischia’s Aragonese Castle, a medieval fortress perched majestically on a volcanic rock. Connected to the island by a charming causeway, this castle offers a fairytale wedding backdrop. Imagine walking down the aisle in a centuries-old castle with panoramic sea views; it’s like stepping into a romantic historical novel!

Let’s sample what we did last time
We organized an intimate ceremony in the castle and took many scenic photographs in its most beautiful corners, with spectacular views of the sea and the island. Then, our couple arrived by boat at the reception at the Eden Garden, a breathtaking location that captures everyone’s heart and offers delicious food.

The Magic Makers
The creative talent of flower designer Tommaso at La Primula transformed a historic castle into a natural garden setting, seamlessly blending with the cathedral’s ruins while respecting its sacredness. Romantic watercolours of the island by Gaetano Patalano added a personal touch to the celebration with bespoke stationery. Excellence abounds in Ischia for every taste. Love sweets? The pastry chef and cake designer Nello Iervolino, whose innovative creations are always a surprise, made a gorgeous and delicious wedding cake. The setup was a palette of warm orange and yellow with delicate greenery, enhanced by custom-made tablecloths from Blankspace Amsterdam. Our stunning bride wore an elegant Justin Alexander Signature dress with Bella Belle bridal shoes, while the groom looked dashing in a Cad & The Dandy New York suit with BV Milano shoes. Ischia’s artists from Aglaia Beauty did make-up and hairstyling, ensuring the couple looked their best. The lively shots were captured by talented photographer Michael Zennaro and videographer Ivan Rubino, who has an eye for detail and genuine happiness.

Capri: The Glamorous Island
From the lush greenery of Ischia to the intense blue waters of Capri, you are immediately immersed in a scene straight out of a classic film. Capri, known for its rugged beauty, chic boutiques, and luxurious hotels, has long been a favourite among the rich and famous. But it is also a treasure trove for nature lovers, with its hidden hiking trails, unspoiled views, Roman ruins, and abundant flowering nature. A wedding in Capri is all about elegance and style, freedom and class, timeless glamour and sophistication, with a touch of la dolce vita. Capri is home to some of the most iconic landmarks in Italy. Imagine arriving in a flaming red vintage car at the La Canzone del Mare ceremony. As soon as you step out of the car, you are greeted by the breathtaking panorama of the Faraglioni, the symbol of Capri. It’s an unforgettable experience! For one of our weddings, the absolute novelty was the wave-shaped floral decoration by Domenico of CapriFlor, designed to appear as if it were part of the sea. It reached up to the terrace in shades of deep and light blue and white, in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature and the Faraglioni as a backdrop.

Getting married in Capri is such an intense emotion that it deserves to be immortalized in photographs by the talented Pasquale Cuorvo, a breathtaking video by Ivan Rubino, and a live painting by artist Vittorio di Buongiorno Ravello. Vittorio put his talents to work, recreating the ceremony by the sea. The bride wore a stunning Sofia Provera dress and Casadei bridal shoes, while the groom donned a Cad & The Dandy tuxedo with luxury handcrafted shoes by BV Milano. BeautyLivery, the queen of Capri’s beauty scene, known for their work with celebrities and brides alike, took care of the bride’s look.

Unique Experiences
A boat ride among the Faraglioni is a must before arriving at one of the most exclusive locations, the Hotel Caesar Augustus. This venue is unparalleled in its elegance, majesty, beauty, and history. The vibrant colours of the wedding cake, created by the famous Nello Iervolino, matched the flower by CapriFlor: intense fuchsia tulips, yellow forsythia brunches, and light blue tweeds in traditional white and blue ceramic vases were beaming with joy. Both Ischia and Capri offer distinct yet equally enchanting experiences for a destination wedding. Ischia captivates with its natural beauty and historical charm, while Capri dazzles with its timeless glamour and sophisticated allure. And we didn’t even talk about food! Whichever island you choose, a wedding in Italy’s Bay of Naples promises an unforgettable celebration filled with love, beauty, and Italian elegance.

If you’re dreaming of a wedding that combines breathtaking scenery, luxurious venues, and a touch of history, Ischia and Capri are the perfect destinations to make your dreams come true. Italy’s colours, flavours, and splendour that never go out of fashion await you!
