The “House of Bull” has dropped its wings from the Lamborghini Sián, the first hybrid supercar in the history of the Factory (which will be produced in a limited edition) and which has debuted in society at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2019.
The Lamborghini Sián will be driven by an aspirated 6.5-litre V12 (derived from the Aventador SVJ), which will be driven by a 48-volt electric motor capable of 34 hp (and incorporated into the seven-speed automatic transmission with characteristics adaptive to driving mode) in order to allow the system to have a total of 819 hp of power, which – thanks to the all-wheel drive and a mechanical self-locking differential at the rear – translates into a 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and at a maximum speed exceeding 350 km/h.
Regenerative braking, Aventador volumes and shapes inspired by the recent history of Lamborghini (Third Millennium and Veneno above all), LED light clusters and numerous visible carbon fibre elements complete the equipment of the Lamborghini Sián (which in the Bolognese dialect means “lightning”), which will be produced in just 63 units, all already sold.
The car that will be exhibited at the Frankfurt Motor Show, in a special Electric Gold configuration, represents the electrified Lamborghini of the future and underlines the constant research carried out by the Italian manufacturer in terms of colours and materials.
The car is painted with a multilayered color containing flakes and golden crystals, which integrates with the interior design. The latter are made of Poltrona Frau leather and offer for the first time 3D printed parts.
