International exhibition Geneva 2019, the appointment has been with technology, design and tradition. The hypercar is called Battista in honor of the founder of the prestigious Italian body known and appreciated throughout the world.
It bears the logo of Automobili Pininfarina, the new hyper-technological brand that will produce exclusive electric supercars, monocoque chassis and body in carbon fibre, four electric motors, one per wheel, all-wheel drive, total power of 1900 hp, 2300 nm of torque, 0-100 km/h in 2″ and 0-300 in 12″, 350 km/h of top speed, which can be overcome with a dedicated Performance Pack, range of 450 km.
Characteristics that give it the record of the most powerful Italian car ever produced. The design is the work of the Pininfarina style center under the guidance of Luca Borgogno Design Director Automobili Pininfarina, former author of the “Sergio”, new “Stratos”, Ferrari SP12EC is the work of many other supercars. The Baptist is a concentrate of elegance and technique and has been designed according to the canons of form and function of each component.
The very penetrating front panel houses generous air intakes and small headlamps connected to each other by a thin “luminous signature” LED that follows a horizontal band, available with paint in contrast with the bodywork. The smooth sides quickly direct the air flows towards the rear where two mobile aerodynamic appendages move to stabilize the rear axle at high speeds, the very original floating lights with horizontal development.
The doors with elliptical opening, invite you into a luxurious and technological interior. The horizontally oriented driver’s dashboard has three screens dedicated to the driver, two larger ones on the side for technical information and infotainment and a smaller one in the middle for essential information.
Multifunction steering wheel mixed leather and carbon, on the door panel instead is placed a handle with aluminum ring and central display that allows the driver to change the settings of the car according to the modes: Pure, Quiet, Energetic and Furious, character instead allows you to refine the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle according to your needs driving. The refined leather seats are of a different colour to underline the primary role of the driver.
It will be made by hand in the Turin atelier of Automobili Pininfarina where each customer can customize his hypercar. They will produce 150 copies, many of which have already been assigned. Elegance, purity and technology in the perfect Italian tradition.
