Opening Saturday, October 19 at 17:00 in Castel dell’ Ovo, with the presence of the Great Artist Athos Faccincani. The Artist will be attended by Prof. Nino Daniele, Councillor for the Culture of Naples and Prof. Francesco D’ Episcopo, former Professor at the University of Naples.
Athos Faccincani is now the Acclaimed Artist of Contemporary Art, his paintings always acquire higher prices and illuminate galleries around the world, so much to risk being often imitated for the style, all his own, that he has managed to develop.
An All-Mediterranean Style, made up of extraordinary places, which make you dream and invite you to a fantastic journey of knowledge but also, and above all, of love for lands and seas, which make our planet worthy not only of being lived but also, and above all, of being loved and respected for its inimitable beauty and harmony, which once marked the most authentic and serene rhythm.
In Faccincani’s paintings you can breathe the serenity of gods, who cross the world, without fear that nothing will ever devastate the beauty and harmony that they carry within, the happiness of living to the end what has given to their eyes, to their intellect, but especially to their heart, Leopardianly greedy for the infinite and the absolute.
Woe betide me to think that Faccincani’s painting is a photograph of reality; it is always an interpretation of it and an extension or narrowing of an inner focus, that stops, never fix them, known places, referring them certainly to their landscape but also their culture. And it is here that he shows the unprecedented and unexpected depth of his message.
The Artist’s work is a pictorial work, which, if it positively dazzles with the material strength of light and colour, can also offer a more intimate and intense vision, which must be guessed in details that must not escape the viewer, the critic who is attentive not to the appearance but to the substance of a pictorial message that is as shrew and conscious as ever.
The Nature of Faccincani, in its apparent descriptiveness, refers, therefore, to beauty, a harmony, classically contemporary, that in the lines and colours find their natural marriage architectural and pictorial at the same time. His own technical skill, apparently repetitive, belongs, as has already been mentioned, to an artist who has managed to create a style of his own, ideally corresponding to his expressive instruments but above all to a poetic narrative, which belongs totally to him and which he has had and will undoubtedly certainly have the opportunity to express himself in a literary writing, of which the writer was, in a frame neither casual nor banal, in the colourful Positano, one of the first witnesses.
The Neapolitan Exhibition in Castel dell’ Ovo, after the one beautifully organized at the PAN a few years ago and presented by the writer and friend councillor for culture of the city Nino Daniele, offers worthy personal space to an artist, who is increasingly leaving our city a piece of his heart, for all that, despite everything, really unpublished and unexpected it will always be able to express.
