Domenico Mileto, the Great “Maestro Fiorentino”

Admiring the Artworks of the famous “Maestro Fiorentino” Domenico Mileto, there is a touch of Renaissance, the rest is the son of Florence that gave birth to Giotto, Leonardo da Vinci, Cimabue, Michelangelo, Brunelleschi and many others. Grand Master of Art, from prestigious commissions, Domenico Mileto understands since he was a boy that his passion for art and his talent would have taken him far. Immediately after graduating from the Istituto Statale d’Arte di Porta Romana in Florence, he enrolled at the Accademia d’Arte Richard Ginori in Sesto Fiorentino, taking up the experience of an artist with his own studio from a very young age.

He began to make himself known in the world of art by participating in numerous group exhibitions and art exhibitions. The results are not long in coming, so as to win exactly in 1983 the First International Prize for graphics, the famous “Carnevale di Viareggio”.

Over the years he has held numerous solo exhibitions in Florence, Prato, Siena, Viareggio, Arezzo and the United States of America where he is appreciated for his artistic and human qualities. Mileto is a painter who, through his portraits, conveys a taste for beauty, elegance, the nude to contemplate and never vulgar. An art his that knows how to fascinate and involve.

His experience and his innate talents, after so much hard and passionate work, opened the doors for him to the great clientele. A portraitist never taken for granted, so much so that the murals, trompe l’oeil and Affresco by Domenico Mileto have found important locations such as the five great works, which are located inside the Palace of Duke Amedeo D’Aosta, property of the Ferragamo Family, representative of the portraits of James and Salvatore Ferragamo. His pictorial style is so sought after that he was hired to create portraits of great personalities from the world of entertainment and sport, including that of the late singer-songwriter Fabrizio De Andrè, Pierangelo Bertoli of the footballer and world champion Paolo Rossi and numerous portraits of personalities from industry and high aristocracy.

He has also created the portrait of Martina Pieraccioni, daughter of the famous actor and producer Leonardo Pieraccioni, and he is working also on a portrait of Pieraccioni  himself. One of his important artworks has been permanently placed inside the “Basilica di Santa Croce” in Florence, in the Franciscan Library (June 17th 2012).

The volcanic and enterprising artist also created in 1990 the great school of Art La Bottega dell’Arcimboldo”. It is a prestigious art studio and laboratory, which takes on the characteristics of a real great art school.

In fact, Mileto’s goal is precisely to share his experience as a great artist so as to be able to pass on his profound art, just as it happened in the past in the Renaissance workshops.

An important project of great responsibility that he, together with his wife Antonella and his close collaborators have taken on, the result of the love for art that has always accompanied him.
