The Italian manufacturer has presented Ducati Panigale V4 Superleggera, a new top-of-the-range Ducati Panigale V4, which will be offered in limited series. The Borgo Panigale manufacturer has finally dropped the veils from the Ducati Panigale V4 Superleggera; an incredible new Italian SBK approved for road use that represents the new flagship (albeit in limited series of 500 units) in the range of the Italian manufacturer’s 4-cylinder sports bikes.
Moto GP performance
The heart and soul of the Ducati Panigale V4 Superleggera is a 998 cc V4 derived from the Panigale V4R but extensively modified in terms of weight. The Ducati is capable of developing 224 hp at 15,250 rpm and 115.7 Nm of torque at 11.750 rpm. A further increase if you opt for the racing kit, which removes a series of road components and brings with it the Akrapovic titanium exhaust, reducing the weight by another 6 kg and allowing the bike to put 234 hp of power on the pan at 15,500 rpm and 117.6 Nm of torque at 11,750 rpm.
Ducati Panigale V4 Superleggera
Numerous titanium, aluminium and carbon fibre components have made it possible to achieve such incredible results. The new mass distribution has made it possible to load further the front end (a purpose to which the biplane wing profiles contribute, which guarantee a vertical load of 50 kg of “downforce” at 270 km/h). The equipment includes lightweight Öhlins suspension with a pressurised fork and lightened, billet shock absorber with titanium spring and GP branch valves. The braking system is Brembo with an MCS calliper equipped with remote lever distance adjustment and Stylema R callipers.
Gear and SBK Experience
Customers of the Ducati Panigale V4 Superleggera can buy the Dainese leather suit with air-bag and Arai carbon helmet dedicated to this bike. Both reproduce the colours and graphics of the bike. The attention that Ducati has dedicated to fans who purchase a Superleggera V4 also includes access to the “SBK Experience“, an event that will allow them to try out the Panigale V4 R on the track at Mugello and compete in the SBK World Championship. There is also the opportunity, limited to 30 owners of the Superleggera V4, to purchase access to the “MotoGP Experience”: for the first time, it will be possible to ride Dovizioso and Petrucci’s Desmosedici GP20 on the circuit, followed directly by Ducati Corse technicians.
