After the world debut of 48 Wallytender this fall, Wally and Ferretti Group will introduce, at the Miami Yacht Show 2020, the outboard version of this day cruiser: 48 Wallytender X.
After evaluating various propulsion systems, Wally chose the Mercury Verado R 450 hp engines, the latest generation produced in the USA. This propulsion system, combined with the lightness of the hull in composite and carbon fibre, developed by the designers of Wally and Ferretti Group, has allowed to obtain, during the first tests, a maximum speed of more than 55 knots and a cruising speed of 40 knots with a range of 320 nautical miles.
The below-deck suite features carbon fibre footfall and teak elements, while the outboard motors allow adequate draught to be reduced to 70 cm at full load with the engines raised, as well as freeing up ample space below-deck, which has been transformed into a storage locker. Like the inboard model, 48 Wallytender X is equipped with a joystick to facilitate mooring manoeuvres.
The deck layout is pleasant and includes ample seating, sunbathing areas and a dining area served by a fully equipped kitchen. Finally, the stern platforms that can be folded down on both sides guarantee a generous “beach club” space even with outboard engines.
