1- Le Colture’s Cartizze

A sparkling wine that, as soon as you taste, strikes you for its elegant, enveloping, sensual character, with a delicate, almost maternal bouquet but with a decisive, savoury finish. A rare complexity opens up to a soft and creamy taste, well balanced by a well-present and well-defined freshness. Satisfying and velvety, it closes with a finish of excellent persistence. The point of view of Veronica Ruggeri, co-owner of the company: “Our Valdobbiadene D.O.C.G. Spumante Superiore di Cartizze is my favourite wine, but I also consider it a wine that symbolises our being women. A bit like us women, who are capable of kind gestures, of welcoming, of caring for others but who at the same time manage to convey firmness and determination in our daily choices.”

2- The SOLI LUI of La Scolca

“Solui”, a new wine created with Sauvignon grapes and a blend of Piedmontese white grapes (strictly 100%La Scolca grapes), is a tribute by Chiara Soldati to her mother Luisa both in the name (So Lui) and in the bottle. The point of view of Chiara Soldati, owner of La Scolca: “A wine that gives you wings to fly, the same wings that my mother gave me to reach great and ambitious goals. A unique product, a soloist among the Gavi. Wine with the courage to dare, without thoughts, recalls in its perfumes the freshness of spring and the light-heartedness of summer evenings.”

3- Paleo Rosso of Le Macchiole

Made in 1989, this wine symbolises the winery and is one of the most representative labels in the Bolgheri area. The point of view of Cinzia Merli, owner of Le Macchiole: “Our Paleo Rosso is the bottle I would give as a gift to my best friend or to a woman I love. It is the wine of my heart because of the emotions it arouses and because it embodies my soul. I also believe that it represents the essence of a woman who lives and works in today’s world: a wine with character, with strong and unique traits but at the same time gentle and delicate, aspects that a woman knows how to combine well.

4- Gravello IGT by Librandi

From the best grapes grown on the Arcidiaconato Estate, Librandi’s Gravello I.G.T. Calabria is an elegant and structured red wine that combines territoriality and international character. It combines complexity, seriousness and firmness on the one hand with lightness, delicacy and immediacy on the other. The point of view of Teresa Librandi – co-owner of the Librandi winery: Among the wines we produce, Gravello I.G.T. Calabria is my favourite. An important, complex red wine, but at the same time pleasant and immediate. A union of aspects often present in the soul of women.”

 5- Schioppettino doc of Zorzettig

A straightforward wine, the protagonist of the Myò reds, a line designed specifically to speak of the territory in which it is born. The point of view of Annalisa Zorzettig, owner of Zorzettig: “I would give this wine as a gift to a colleague, a friend or a sister. I have always seen it as a personal declaration of unconditional love for my land and its people, a project born of an authentic vision for the future combined with a touch of madness. This is a wine that I have always considered to be sincere, though, just as we women of today know how to be, unique and multitasking, capable of combining a thousand daily commitments and projects for the future”.

6- Toscana Rosso IGT Sasso al Poggio di Piccini 1882

An original hymn to Tuscany, born of the fortunate encounter between Sangiovese and the coastal vines, Cabernet and Merlot. The point of view of Ginevra Piccini, co-owner of Piccini1882: “The wine of the land where I was born. In the glass, it fully reveals its lively and brilliant spirit, two essential qualities in both a wine and a woman.”

7- Konti Ki of Cantina Pizzolato

A name inspired by the “Kon-Tiki”, the raft used by the Norwegian explorer and writer Thor Heyerdahl on his 1947 expedition across the Pacific Ocean from South America to the islands of Polynesia, because this is a new wine to be discovered and explored. The point of view of Sabrina Rodelli, co-owner of Cantina Pizzolato: “A medium through which I have been able to dare and experiment, from the grapes to its dress. And then its name, inspired by the boat of a Norwegian explorer, ready to be intrigued and contaminated by discoveries, just like me”.

8- Bric Amel di Marchesi di Barolo (Piedmont)

Pale straw yellow colour with pale greenish reflections. The bouquet combines fruity notes of peach and apricot with hints of almond, acacia and hawthorn. The flavour is full, fresh, savoury, fragrant and delicately mineral. The point of view of Valentina Abbona, the latest generation of the Marchesi di Barolo cellars: “A wine that flows lightly on our palate, but does not let itself be forgotten so quickly. A joyful wine right from the label, a fresh, floral wine that makes you want to be in company, to dream and to get out of the routine and devote yourself to nature’.

From a careful selection of mountain Chardonnay, this wine is the “Trentodoc Millesimato” that best sums up the art of Ferrari. A true icon of style. The perlage is extremely fine and persistent. The point of view of Camilla Lunelli, head of Cantine Ferrari: “In general, I like our Perlé, which identifies well with the world of women. A bubble of great elegance and versatility, both in terms of food pairings and occasions, from aperitifs to after-dinner drinks. Elegant and versatile, as women are, with great presence and multitasking”.

The point of view of Erica Tommasi, co-owner and head of the foreign sector of Tommasi Family Estates: “If I had to think of a wine to give to a woman as a gift, I would certainly choose our Tommasi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Docg. I think there is no better wine to describe us: it is strong, sensual and elegant, a combination of characteristics that recall contemporary women in their being strong, fascinating, elegant and successful”.

Women’s wines are structured, full-bodied, decisive, sensitive and fragrant. Like their producers! The choice is ours, to toast with a feminine wine, removing the old dated and inappropriate term “ladies’ wine” from this term.
