Great participation for an important event of solidarity, the gran charity gala “Solidart the art of solidarity” which was held on the evening of May 7 at the elegant and refined restaurant Apollo Club in Milan.

The initiative organized by Miscusi (Italian brand of only pasta) Simone Ciccotti and Valentino Tito of Solidart (the association for the organization of non-profit events) had as its objective to raise funds for the Association Il Balzo, which is responsible for giving concrete support to children with forms of cognitive disabilities.

The present chefs, including seven Michelin Star Chefs, have made their contribution to a good cause,  collecting during the evening in fact over 10 thousand euros, which were then donated to the association Il Balzo,  running the famous restaurant of the same name in the capital of Lombardy, which has precisely the peculiarity of involving disabled children in various tasks, making them feel committed and satisfied, an integral part of society going beyond the disability.

The proceeds will be used to improve the existing structure and to equip it with apartments for the use of children in order to make them more and more autonomous.

Simone CiccottiAt the helm of this important initiative the famous Umbrian star chef Simone Ciccotti, who is now accustomed to beneficial events. In fact, he is one of those who has made charity almost a rule of life, assisted by his fellow chefs from all over Italy who have delighted the palate of the two hundred guests who have decided to offer a financial contribution to this important event with the various courses.

The courses were served at the tables by fifteen volunteers from Miscusi and eight children with Down’s Syndrome belonging to the association.

Dish by SolidartThe achieved goal was not only to support a right cause that of down syndrome but also to create a moment of conviviality between those present and volunteers of the association itself.
