Moorish is the olfactory portrait of a night of sirocco in winter on the eastern slopes of Etna, the warm wind, loaded with olfactory notes that makes its way through the rarefied atmosphere, their energy, mystical and earthly at the same time. Places of silence, of arcane beauty, of connection with the whole. Underfoot, the red earth that was once incandescent lava. All around the clouds that cross the wayfarer: the view is nebulous, shaded, lunar. In silence, the wind arrives like a warm, fragrant embrace, laden with the olfactory notes that it has collected along the way: vegetal notes, leaves, berries, even a distant hint of dull fireplaces.
Moorish opens with a vertical aquatic accord accompanied by a precious oud that spreads its warmth through notes of sweet Sicilian orange and Bulgarian rose, then pours into a heart of leather, birch, patchouli, ambergris and Tonka bean, and then close again in a background of oud.
Oud-Nārang is the olfactory portrait of the scent that remains on the skin after a day at the sea, in the extreme east of Sicily, a meeting point between sea and land, between the wind full of scents and the beach soaked in sun. A crossroads that has the sound of marine gusts, hypnotic and seductive like an ancient Middle Eastern instrument: it is the Oud, not the olfactory note, but the fascinating cordophone instrument of ancient Persia, ancestor of the lute, with a vibrant and sensual sound. And it is also Nārang, from the ancient Persian bitter orange: this fragrance is like a Middle Eastern lute that produces a hypnotic sound like a perfume, or a seductive scent like the sound of that instrument.
Oud-Nārang opens with a pungent note of pink pepper that explodes upwards with its citrus elements, grapefruit, bergamot, bitter orange, like a firework; then slowly they begin their descent first into the green heart of vetiver and cedar wood, and then gently fall into a bed of incense, benzoin and Tonka bean.
