The Swiss manufacturer launches the H. Moser & Cie Swiss Alp Watch Concept Black, a luxury watch with a smartwatch-like design that does not mark the time in the traditional way and that costs more than 300,000 euros. His name is H. Moser & Cie Concept Black, and is a very special luxury object. Similar to a smartwatch and without any graphic indication of the passage of time, as well as a real display, is a real fashion accessory with a unit cost of more than 300,000 euros.
The H. Moser & Cie Swiss Alp Watch Concept Black has a design closely reminiscent of the smartwatch design. It is made of highly refined materials, is only indicated by an acoustic signal and is equipped with a small flying tourbillon. Equipped with a platinum case and a sapphire crystal back, the H. Moser & Cie Swiss Alp Watch Concept Black measures 45.8 x 39.8 mm (and is 11 mm thick), features a Teflon sliding clasp and crown set with an “M”, as well as a hand-wound HMC 901 calibre movement. A frequency of 21,600 hp and a minimum power reserve of 87 hours complete the characterization of the H. Moser & Cie Swiss Alp Watch Concept Black, together with a flat spiral, a double Moser stripe on the plate and bridges, and finishes and decorations of the movement and the handmade components.
Hours and minutes on request and minute repeater with hour, quarter and minute chimes are among the functions available for this unique timepiece with hand-sewn crocodile leather strap lined in red. With regard to this object, the manufacturer declares: ‘H. Moser & Cie. has made elegance its watchword and minimalism its signature. With the Swiss Alp Watch Concept Black, it goes even further. After removing the logo and indexes from the dial of its Concept models, now presents a watch without hands that marks the time without displaying it. The polished black dial features a flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock for one minute. And that’s all. To know what time it is, you have to use your ears. Like before electricity, when darkness fell, the only way to know the time was to listen to the minute repeats. H. Moser & Cie. is based on a watchmaking tradition of great prestige to play with contrasts: this minimalist creation integrates a minute repeater and a tourbillon with a rectangular case that resembles a smartwatch”.
