celebreMagazine on Lake Como amidst talent and charm

A double delight for the platinum edition of the celebreMagazine. It was Walt Disney who raised the curtain on both with the words “If you can dream it, you can do it”. The phrase was uttered by one of his designers, but still attributed to him as it perfectly embodies his way of living and thinking, and because he was and still is the face of the company he founded.

Cultivating one’s dreams and believing in oneself: this is the fundamental message of the Disney films, as well as the mantra of the father of Mickey Mouse who built his success on this ideology made up of curiosity, trust, courage and perseverance.

As Walt Disney repeatedly said “The difference between a dream and a goal is simply a date”: incredible mental strength and an unshakable faith in the power of desire, fuelled by a brilliant imagination, made him one of the 20th century’s greatest artists, one who refused to give in to rejections and failures and did not rely too much on luck, although it never hurts to have a little.

The stars of the Delta edition are two icons who are the epitome of this motto: David Beckham for the World edition, and George Clooney for the Lake Como special edition.

For anything still left undisclosed as far as Becks is concerned, the Netflix docuseries is on its way, featuring previously unseen photos and videos that reconstruct a background on the Beckhams, as well as newspaper clippings and school report cards that the football icon has proudly stashed away since the beginning.

There will also be contributions from former teammates, including Cristiano Ronaldo, and their children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

George Clooney was also the darling of Netflix during lockdown for his latest film “The Midnight Sky”. Still fresh-faced despite the 60 candles blown out earlier this May, never seems to talk about it enough, particularly when the setting is Lake Como. George, who once again takes on the dual roles of director and actor, sticks to the same kind of films to which his audience is accustomed: observational and with a critical spirit, the intention this time is to evoke sorrowful yet optimistic reflection on humanity itself.

Both multifaceted, they have had the opportunities to put their talents to good use in the world of football, for the former, and cinema, for the latter, steadily steering their ships even when they are far from the port. “Homo faber fortunae suae” as they would have said in the Renaissance.

Both fascinated by the natural beauty and, ça va sans dire, by the historic villas of Lake Como, the small corner of the world that is the protagonist on the glossy pages of celebreMagazine with its history, craftsmanship, excellence, allure of luxury and Dolce Vita that envelop its landscape, not infrequently associated with refined high-end brands such as Riva boats or the silk scarves of the most famous luxury Maisons. The gastronomic specialties tell a story of territory, tradition and innovation to keep up with the times.

Finally, the appointment with art is something not to be missed. The visible always carries with it the invisible, something that is not limited to matter but transcends it: the analysis provided by Luca Caricato, art expert and Leonardo da Vinci scholar, is the voice that guides the exploration of the selected artists for this issue – Maurizio Galimberti, Gianmaria Potenza and Bruna Bonelli – and the reading of their worlds.
