Lamborghini Essenza SCV12: The Supercar born for the Circuit

The House of the Bull has dropped the veils from the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12, hypercar for track use only in a limited edition of 40 units with extreme characteristics.

The House of Sant’Agata Bolognese presented the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12, hypercar for track use only in a limited edition of 40 units and driven by the most powerful 12-cylinder aspirated engine ever developed by Toro.

The most powerful V12Llambo ever – Powered by racing-derived engineering solutions, the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 finds its beating heart in a V12 of over 830 hp with dynamic supercharging at high speeds. The exhaust tailpipes have also been designed in collaboration with Capristo and reduce backpressure to improve performance.

Alongside this unit works a new 6-speed X-trac load-bearing gearbox, placed transversely at the rear and combined with rear-wheel drive. At the same time, the power-to-weight ratio is 1.66 kg/hp: a result also obtained thanks to a carbon fibre monocoque chassis and not combined with a steel roll cage: the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 meets the safety standards of the FIA regulation for prototypes. The Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 also adds the following to the list: the push-rod rear suspension installed directly on the gearbox; Pirelli slick tyres and 19-inch magnesium wheels at the front and 20-inch wheels at the rear, behind which are Brembo Motorsport brake discs and callipers.

Record-breaking aerodynamic load – the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 guarantees a downforce of 1,200 kg at 250 km/h. This is due to exceptional attention to aerodynamics: the front bonnet has a double air intake with a central rib, typical of the Huracán racing car, which separates the hot air flows from the radiator and conveys the cold air to the air scoop in the middle of the roof. Also at the front, the splitter and the two side appendages stand out; on the sides, the flows for engine and gearbox cooling have been optimized through the use of vertical fins placed on the sill. The aerodynamic package is completed by the large, adjustable, double-profile rear wing.

Racing ProgramLamborghini Essenza SCV12 customers will join an exclusive club that will give access to driving programs to drive their hypercar on all the most prestigious circuits in the world. The program includes storage service in a new hangar built in Sant’Agata Bolognese for the Essenza SCV12 club. Each car will have a personalized box and dedicated services, including webcams, to allow the customer to control their car 24 hours a day via app. The structure is completed by the “Lamborghini Squadra Corse Drivers Lab” developed in collaboration with the Italian company Tecnobody, to offer athletic preparation programs, similar to those followed by official Lamborghini drivers.

On track from 2021 – The track calendar will start in 2021 with “arrive and drive” events on the same number of circuits with FIA Grade 1 homologation. The Squadra Corse technical staff will assist with the support of Emanuele Pirro, five-time winner of the Le Mans 24 Heures du Mans and exceptional tutor for driver-customers, and Marco Mapelli, Factory Driver Lamborghini Squadra Corse.
