Ferrari SF90 Spider: 1.000 HP Made in Maranello

The Prancing Horse is once again astounded by the unveiling of the Ferrari SF90 Spider, an open-roof variant of the SF90 Stradale that promises strong emotions with the wind in its hair.

The Maranello-based company has dropped the veils from the Ferrari SF90 Spider, an open-roof variant (with retractable hardtop) of the SF90 Stradale that raises – out of all proportion – the bar of the open-roof hypercars.

Without Compromise – True to the style of the coupé, from which it inherits much of the design and technical solutions, the Ferrari SF90 Spider has, as mentioned earlier, a retractable rigid roof (with electric activation from the cockpit and with the car moving at reduced speed) that occupies only 100 litres of space, for a weight of only 40 kg (really nothing!) compared to traditional rigid roof solutions (thanks to the use of aluminium).

An electrically-activated rear window, to increase interior comfort with a retracted roof, completes the skills of the Ferrari SF90 Spider. Optional is the “Assetto Fiorano” package, which reduces the weight of the car by 21 kg thanks to a series of carbon fibre elements. Opting for this option, the Ferrari SF90 Spider stops the scale needle at 1,670 kg dry weight (only 100 kg more than the coupé).

1000 HP of pure pleasure – At the heart of the Ferrari SF90 Spider project is the hybrid powertrain consisting of a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors: all for 1,000 hp of power and 800 Nm of torque, which translate into a 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, a 0-200 km/h in 7.0 seconds and 340 km/h top speed. Are you ready to feel the wind in your hair like never before?
