Umbria between wine and relax: Le Tre Vaselle Resort & Spa

Umbria is famous for its historic houses, its gastronomic products, its history. It is the green heart of Italy, pulsating with flavours and knowledge, among olive groves, vineyards and rolling hills. Between Perugia and Assisi, in Torgiano, it is possible to experience a stay immersed in a refined and at the same time welcoming quietness, with relaxation and wellness, also discovering a rich history in the production of EVO oil and Rubesco wine, in the famous local museums dedicated to these two products.

Le Tre Vaselle Resort & Spa is an ancient residence characterised by a structure and furnishings dated between the 17th and 18th centuries, with thick walls, solid wooden beams, typical terracotta floors, and large stone fireplaces embellished with fabrics made with handlooms by skilled local artisans. Taste can be found throughout the structure, from the 52 rooms and suites renovated respecting the original materials to the common areas, up to the two restaurants, based on seasonal and local dishes.

The Le Melograne gourmet restaurant is located in the main hall, while Alla Vecchia Fornace is in the village, in a building reminiscent of the inn of yesteryear, with a museum of equipment kept alive as a reminder of the rooms where ceramics were fired. A gastronomic offer that is attentive to the territory, guiding guests on a journey of discovery of tradition enriched with curious and currant notes, with a chef who is attentive to flavours and research, and a dining room staff who are prepared and professional, even in the telling of funny and engaging anecdotes! It tastes can also discover that here with the various activities offered, including cookery courses, wine tastings in the evocative medieval cellar, and guided tours of local wineries.

And speaking of local wine cellars, an obligatory stop must be in those owned by the Lungarotti family, which has contributed to making Umbria famous throughout the world for its wine.  A unique experience that begins in the vineyards and then moves on to the cellar to appreciate the stages of vinification through the most modern technologies, the charm of barrels and barriques, the vault with the best vintages and the ageing cave.

We also recommended a stop at the MUVIT Wine Museum, the most complete and essential collection of Italian wine-growing techniques and culture. We enjoyed discovering equipment and anecdotes related to this world.

And then there is the Museum of Oil and the Olive Tree, MOO, a concentration of knowledge and materials about this world, to learn about the history and evolution of olive oil machines and much more.

Not only culture and food at LeTre Vaselle! Sports and nature enthusiasts can enjoy walks along the “Parco dei Mulini”, an evocative route that winds along the Tiber River to its confluence with the Chiascio River.

15 km mountain bike itinerary through paths and woods; the chance to ride through the vineyards on horseback; and activities at the Perugia Golf Club, whose clubhouse is housed in an old lime kiln dating back to 1921.

BellaUve SPA, you can breathe the scent of lavender and jasmine from the Park of the Secular Olive Trees in which it is immersed, and in which there is also the lovely outdoor swimming pool. The relaxing area of the facility recalls the peace of this land and the flavours of its wines.

Thanks to the skilful use of products derived from vines, grapes and wine, it is possible to enjoy numerous wine therapy treatments, sipping a glass of Lungarotti “Rubesco”, between a hydro-massage in barrique with Sangiovese wine and scrub or massage with grape seed oil.

Le Tre Vaselle Resort & Spa, a destination on the “Strada dei Vini del Cantico”, is easily reached from the main motorway junctions crossing Umbria and is close to the main art cities of the region such as Assisi, Todi and Orvieto.

Le Tre Vaselle Resort & Spa is managed by Six Hotel & Resorts, whose partners have made hospitality the leitmotif of their philosophy for over 20 years.  The Group also includes Mercure Civitavecchia Sunbay Park Hotel, housed in a noble palace overlooking the sea, and Mercure Argentario Hotel Filippo Secondo.
