Mazzoleni Foundation and Majid Foundation: United Colors of “Renaissance”

Mazzoleni Foundation and Majid Foundation join their forces in order to realise the important and prestigious artistic event entitled “Renaissance”, from 02nd to 30th June 2022 in the prestigious spaces of the “Maison Majid”, headquarters of Foundation Majid and located in the enchanting town of Ascona, Switzerland.

Mazzoleni Foundation will take care of the event’s organisation, selecting 28 Artists, including photographers, painters and sculptors. “Renaissance” to represent a thought, a noble, profound, anthropological meaning, all enclosed in this word… a concept that perfectly echoes the thought that was once expressed by the great Oscar Wilde: “Every single Work of Art is the fulfilment of a prophecy, of a rebirth”.

In fact, the value of art is precisely this: to satisfy the soul through the senses, becoming a true object of contemplation. And it is precise with this in mind (as the exhibition’s title suggests) that the noble aim is, in addition to promoting emerging artists, to literally and concretely ‘revive’ the art world, which has been one of the most important penalised sectors in recent years.

Here are the 28 artists selected by the Mazzoleni Foundation who will be an active part of the major art project presented in Switzerland: Nilo Bazzani (Painter) – Bianca Beghin (Painter) – Milena Bini (Sculptor) – Bruna Bonelli (Painter) – Manuel Bonfanti (Painter) – Katia Brugnolo (Sculptor) – Christian Carlino (Installation) – Giancarlo Defendi (Sculptor) – Severino Del Bono (Sculptor/Painter) – Chiara Fenaroli (Painter) – Feofeo (Painter) – Luca Galessi (Painter) – Johannes Genemans (Sculptor) – Sandra Menoia (Painter) – Antonio Murgia (Painter) – Sebastiano Navarra (Painter) – Claudio Perina (Painter/Sculptor) – Giuseppe Portella (Painter) – Beppe Ranica (Painter) – Marzia Ratti (Installation) – Marcello Remigi (Painter) – Mirella Scotton (Painter) – Irma Servodio (Painter) – Franca Silva (Painter) – Giò Stefan (Painter) – Marina Taroni (Painter) – Davide Tonato (Painter) – Natasha Yalyisheva (Painter).

Thanks to the excellent cooperation between the Foundations, all this was made possible. Behind such a great project there are two realities with a prestigious background… that’s why we will briefly present them in their ‘Vi et Mente’.

The Mazzoleni Foundation, based in the province of Bergamo, was established to promote and support the immense World of Art and Culture, both nationally and internationally. The Foundation has always been committed to organising public exhibitions, events and manifestations in prestigious spaces in order to propose the proper general beauty capable of moving and making people reflect. The Foundation has given and continues to give life to various public events with works by artists of international calibre in prestigious and fascinating settings. One example is the exhibition of Salvador Dali’s unpublished collection dedicated to Dante’s Divine Comedy at the Conference Centre in Porto Cervo and Ascona, Switzerland, sponsored by the Majid Foundation. Another protagonist of the Foundation’s events is the undisputed genius of Andy Warhol. Thanks to the valuable collection, which has been built up over the decades, it has been possible to hold exhibitions, from the one at Castello Ursino in Catania with more than 28,000 visitors to the one at Pagazzano Castle, which was also visited by the iconic art critic Vittorio Sgarbi. For years, the Foundation has supported various humanitarian associations, such as the Shalom Rehabilitation Community in Palazzolo. Another aspect of relevance is the Foundation’s proximity to the development of new projects linked to the world of contemporary art: in this period, it is developing an Art Therapy project, creating workshops in which drawing, painting and photography become the therapy to support various disorders afflicting young people.

Majid Foundation is based in the charming town of Ascona, Switzerland and their mission is very close to that of the Mazzoleni Foundation. Young people represent an immense resource for our entire society. Their common goal is to enhance, encourage and reward young talents such as artists, researchers, scholars and inventors. The Majid Foundation puts young people at the centre of its work as the focus of its thinking because their projects represent the future, regardless of whether they are artistic, scientific, ecological or environmental projects. Both Foundations are non-profit; their ultimate goal is to enhance the importance of socio-cultural value, to address an international audience without distinction of gender, race, language, religion and social background, working closely with universities, public bodies and institutions. An important collaboration project that absolutely deserves to be mentioned is the one with the University of Edinburgh, related to the study of Alzheimer’s disease.

Mazzoleni Foundation and the Majid Foundation await you for an unforgettable artistic and cultural experience at Maison Majid in the beautiful Frame of Ascona”.
